믿음과 이상
[mideumgwa isang]
信仰과 理想
Etymology
理想 (이상) [isang] – ideal
Faith is born from ideals formed on the basis of thinking. These are not some personal ideals, but ideals for the whole world, forming comprehensive ties. Therefore, any person who claims to have ideals or theoretical views must have faith.
First of all, we need a clear understanding of our ideals, and then a belief that they can actually be realized.
If we face difficulties and we have to suffer, it is still necessary to believe that we will succeed, and live and work in faith. Even in movies, we are most attracted to scenes of danger and risk. In the same way, when we work, we are watched by Heaven and all of creation to see how we find our way out of risky situations and crises.
As far as faith and practice are concerned, we see that there is always an abyss between them. Faith always precedes practice, not vice versa. Only if people have firm faith can they resolutely put it into practice.
People need confidence in many areas. Whatever you do, the main issue is your faith. It is necessary to try many options and say with faith: “I have no doubts about what I do.” If you have the ability to take on many difficult problems and successfully resolve them, you will be able to adapt and grow in any circumstance.
But no matter how strong our faith may be, if we pursue the realization of personal hopes and aspirations at our own discretion, this will not lead us to true happiness. Each of us must embody our love and our ideals in our lives for the good of the world.
