영혼의 빛
[yeonghon-ui bi]
靈魂의光
Etymology
靈 (영) [yeong] – spirit魂 (혼) [hon] – soul
光 (빛) [bi] – light
When climbing the mountain at night and looking around you can see many flickering lights. Among them, multi-colored ones stand out, but most of all bright ones. The spiritual world observes the same picture when it looks at our world from above. Our soul is like a light in the darkness, although we cannot see it like that with our physical eyes. A light bulb has an external shape, but it is the tungsten filament inside that really lights up. As we know, the source of light, electricity, is generated at power stations.
We must understand what kind of light bulb we are and what connector we have. Are we small, like those lights on the Christmastree or like a spotlight illuminating a football field? There is such an expression as “bright soul”. It can be said that the efforts we make every day will enlarge both our lamp and our socket, and we will be able to shine brighter and brighter. Is it easy? It is one thing to use the light for your benefit, but becoming the light yourself and becoming brighter and brighter is not easy.
When a large and bright light source comes on, all the smaller bulbs are no longer needed and can be turned off. The Heavenly Parent has made the sun such a bright source of light that nothing can compete with it in this regard. We only need electricity because night exists. What do we need more, sunshine or light bulb? Is it possible to make a sunny day even brighter if you additionally turn on several spotlights? This is impossible.
History has witnessed many people who came and went, and each of them radiated their own light while living on earth. Some of them left behind a certain legacy, such as literature, philosophy or art, which are an expression of their soul and character. If it had a certain value, people who lived after them wanted to preserve it, exhibiting it in museums, libraries, etc. Many individuals were marked by history from the best side, because they tried to voice the central truth.
