個人의 價値
Etymology
價値 (가치) [gachi] – value
Throughout history, in every era, rulers who were proud of their country’s culture and power left only one page in history and disappeared. However, if there was a saint who, with certain personal qualities, over the years created an ideological basis for world culture, we cannot help but think of the country where he was born, whether it was India, Israel, or Greece. Although that country may no longer exist, we want to see the traces left by that saint, to imagine how he lived, to feel the culture and everyday life of that time.
For example, if there were even a small piece of a thing that Jesus used, it would not be possible to buy it for any money. If there were clothes or other things that belonged to Jesus, they would have been of great value in the cultural world. This is understandable given the influence he has had throughout history. However, the people who lived at the time did not realize this value. They ate, lived, and did activities with Jesus, and were perfected alongside him, but they did not know the value of this. We have to realize that this has become a cause of shame for all subsequent generations.
That is why, instead of feeling the value of a certain personality and respecting it in the future, evaluating the achievements that influenced history, we must now have a basis to understand its value.
The path that all the saints walked in an effort to realize the will of God in the providence of restoration is the path that we must walk again today. Moreover, we must go further than they did and become pioneers where none of them left their mark.
The personality of each person is the result of a history of providential restoration. We must treat the goal of history as our own goal and take responsibility for its realization.
